Solar Ice Skating Rink is the only one of its kind in East & Central Africa GAT 043 :.
It measures 32 x 12 meters, with an ice skating surface area of 15000 square feet. It is totally enclosed.The ice temperature is minus 25 degrees centigrade. The air temperature inside the hall is plus 12 degrees centigrade.The rink can accommodate 200 skaters at any one time. The rink is open seven days a week from 11 am until 10 pm. Skating sessions are held:
11:00 am to 12 noon
1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
3:00 pm to 4:00 pm
5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
9:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Tickets/receipts are issued only for single sessions and only 30 minutes prior to skating sessions. Customers ought to bring along their ID cards for age verification.
There are instructors on site to assist novices. Children learn the basic skills of ice skating quite fast. There are no discounts granted for group bookings.
It is advisable to reserve timings for groups in advance. The ice rink cannot be blocked or closed out for private parties or functions.
